'Avatar' (box-art) adapts the fantasy box art typical of computer games pre-1995 by adding new titles taken from paintings by the British modernist painter Peter Lanyon.

Much of the box art imagery suggests a preoccupation with mystical elemental forces: something shared with Lanyon, who was an abstract expressionist inspired by the landscape.
